ASP Agent Lightweight Concealable Baton:

The ASP Agent Concealable Baton is the prime concealed impact weapon. With a low profile and a smaller diameter, the Agent Baton is concealable on a belt, or on the waistband.
The Striking surface of the baton is forged of 4140 steel, and the Middle shaft and handle are crafted of 7075 T6 aluminum. The sturdy construction of the ASP Agent Baton ensures its striking force and durability are no less than Its bulkier counterparts.
The Nexus Clip is accepted on the ASP Agent Concealable Baton. The Nexus Clip is a secure, lightweight, and compact Baton Clip containing a chrome plate retaining spring and a rapid release clip. The clip can be used on either tactical or dress belts, and allows the user to immediately withdrawal the baton by lifting it from the belt.
The Agent batons can be carried with the tip up, or the tip down. Using Disc Loc Technology, A push of the cap retracts the baton

ASP baton

Light weight and concealable are only two of the values that this baton has.
I feel safer with it in my pocket.

Some serious power! Beautiful baton

I was hesitant to get the aluminum 30 cm. It’s compact and light. However I hit a heavy cardboard box with I and this thing just destroyed it. The steel tip just punches a hole right through.

Good covert baton

It's a good, solid ASP that compromises a little length for compactness. I like the knurled aluminum grip better than my full size foam-covered one. The aluminum handle and middle sleeve with a steel striker not onlh shave some weight, but give it a bit more weight-forward balance, which is nice. I think I like the push-button collapse better than having to slam it on the floor, but not sure yet.

The clip is a weak point. I wish it were a bit more robust. But it clips nicely IWB behind my holster, and is light enough to sit in a suit jacket pocket and not give a lot of sag.

I wish they hadn't discontinued the USB rechargeable flashlight pommel.

Liking my Agent 50; now I also have an Agent 40.

As others have noted, a new one can be a little sluggish in deployment, but certain that will be only temporary. The workmanship is excellent, and it is a reassuring companion when walking around the neighborhood where the rare but most likely danger could be an unleashed canine. In such a situation I prefer the length of the Agent 50 for keeping the beast at bay. However, for other possible defense situations, I suspect that the 40 cm length of the Agent 40 would be the better size for me given my stature/strength. I suspect that for me it would be ideal to own both!

FOLLOW-UP: I now have an Agent 40 as well, and I was right. It is more suitable for my stature/strength for other than canine defense situations. Very glad to be the owner of both!!
