The real deal…..

……we had several family friends who carried saps and blackjacks back in the 1950s and 60s while serving with San Francisco PD. When we visited them back then, they would occasionally let me fiddle around with one much to my delight. Of course this type of equipment went out of favor with the higher ups, but I clearly recall their uniform pants having a pocket on the side of the leg to stash a sap. This Boston Leather example is exactly like the ones I remember. Use the flat, not the edge!

A Substantial Defense

Just the right size... Small enough to easily conceal in a jacket pocket, yet I think it would carry the whallop needed to dissuade most anyone.

New leather sap

I bought this item to take with on a trip out of state for self defense. Im very pleased with the quality and workmanship! Hopefully I wont need to use it but if I do I'm confident it will do the job!
