Fast shipping. Good product. Exactly the product that was advertised. ASP makes reliable and quality products.
This baton is exactly what I need to carry for daily use. The baton itself is solid. The friction locks work as intended. The website says this baton is hard to close, but I disagree. As Richard commented, use the “dart throwing” method and that works well. The item shipped out immediately and arrived within a day or two. All said and done, I would purchase this again. Great price, great service, great item. Thank you. Will use again.
I have a Monadnock autolock, autolock jr. ASP Talon and finally the protector. Not hard to close at all, closed it every time I have tried it with no brute force. I've been a baton instructor since 2005, and the closing technique I use is as follows: Hold the friction lock baton with thumb and index finger (yes, that's all) like you are holding a dart. Keeping a loose wrist "throw" the baton (dart) into the ground with a little force (without letting go) and it will close 9 times out of 10. The icepick grip close usually results in the baton hitting the ground at an angle and not allowing full close, the loose wrist of the dart hold keeps the angle right for closing.
Lighter than most. Better for EDC.
At first I was a little turned off by the price but when I did more research on Youtube and online forums, I was pretty much convinced to buy this. I opted for the 16" version because I wanted more reach. I love how concealable it is and the quality is nice. Check out my epic review on Youtube: https://youtu.be/EFXN4ubgCEg
