This One is Juuuuust Right, and Soo Light!

    USED FOR PROTECTION AGAINST DOGS!!
Like Goldilocks and beds, I went through a few batons, too small, too heavy, too wide in diameter. Then I stopped goat-thinking and spent a little extra on the Asp, not even the "good" ones, just the lightest ones. I tried all three! The 12 was too short, but SO light and a really cool little toy, the 16 was almost right, still lighter than my phone but just not long enough, i gifted them to various ppl for dog walks- we got a lot of bad dogs running lose around here biting people and we've just had enough of it.
THE BAD: I gotta 4 star it for this, but i'd rather have taken half a point.
The clip on the side that goes on your belt or pocket, can really ONLY go in a pocket, because it opens with movement eventually, EVERY. TIME. if you put it on your belt, then you're in Costco looking like a Idjit, and now everyone knows you have something going on in or around your pants. So just pocket it, or I was thinking about maybe a simple strip of tape that would still break with a flick, but not with natural movement? Idk, it's a solvable problem but my pocket works just fine as well. It's really, really light.

Hope this was informative and helpful, this is a great product and I feel so much better walking my small dog now that I have something to protect myself from the big, jerk, dogs with! BTW, get the engraving, it's awesome!

    Very nice

Small, lightweight, and concealable. It may be small, but I feel very comfortable wearing it.

Tip up or down without a scabbard.

The first thing I noticed was how light the baton was compared to a regular one; the 16" Protector made my regular 16" feel like a brick. The Nexus Clip only allows for a tip down carry, I like the ability to carry with a clip, tip up so as to help prevent accidental deployments when running or jumping.

    Good batons

I've carried airweight friction lock batons for 30 yrs in law enforcement and security. Indispensable tool. The protector is basically the same minus the foam grip. Same weight as far as I can tell. Thinner enough that it conceals much easier.

    Useful weapon

Deploys easily and is rock solid. Collapsing is a little tough, requires a solid downward hit on something solid. Of course you would want this, you wouldn’t want the baton to collapse while defending yourself. I’m definitely satisfied with this baton
